Loss of a friend

 A precious friend passed away this past week.  Here is my card for the family.  










I used Anna's Flourish Cards and Embellishments in Design Studio from Cricut.  The card measures approximately 5 X 7.  I used Close to My Heart papers, with the Damask Close To My Heart embossing folder.  The sentiment is written with the Cricut explore using their .03 black pen.  This was attached to the medallion, in Design Space, that was also from the same Anna's Cartridge.  I really like the cartridge.

Navy Son

 The quote has been on the internet for quite some time now.  I have seen several of these Shadow boxes made.  The flowers are cut from various Cricut Cartridges.  The flowers are rolled from the edges to the center, then glued.  I lined up the red, white and blue flowers to create the flag.  There are several artists on the web that do this similar design.  Since my son is in the Navy, I added an anchor to the lower right hand corner.  I used white vinyl for the saying and the anchor, then adhered the cutouts to the glass. The stripes are very crooked.  I think next time I will create lines on the mat of the shadow box, following those lines as I hot glued the paper flowers to the mat. Hopefully, that will keep the stripes straight. I didn't want to see the background of the mat, so I kept the flowers very close together.  I bought the paper and vinyl from Jo-Ann's and the shadow box from Michael's Craft stores.

A Mother's Day Card and a Complimentary Card

You're the Best Stamp from CTMH

These are cards I made with DCWV (Die Cuts With A View) papers.  I used Close To My Heart cartridge on my Provo Craft Cricut Explore. The Provo Craft Cricut software Design Space let me correctly size the label from CTMH Artistry Cartridge and the back ground white label.  I used stamps from Close To My Heart for the greeting.  The stamp also added a decorative trim around the cut.  On several of the cards I used pop dots to raise the labels, for added dimensions.  I only pictured 2 styles of the cards.
I added a 1/8 pink ribbon to the top edge of the card Mother's Day card and to the bottom of the You're the Best card.  For the ink on the stamps I used CTMH Exclusive Inks Cotton Candy colored ink and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  These cards were quickly made.
